To start of these photo series, I want to start of with something new and recent. These are pictures of Nijmegen the Netherlands where I’m currently staying.
I arrived in the Netherlands on the 16th of September, in Amsterdam. Here I have stayed for two weeks before I left there for Nijmegen.
The people in Nijmegen are very friendly and humanly. There are lots of volunteers, for example to help us learn the Dutch language and also other activities. But for example, I have Dutch lessons every day.

MEET UP
My name is Shady Zen Aldeen, I’m from Al Sweida, a city in Syria. I finished my bachelor degree in architecture at the university of Damascus in 2012.
In the following series I will be showing images from my journey, my life now in the Netherlands and from my origins.
For the future I wish to complete my masters degree in architecture here in Holland.
But most of all I want to live in peace, have a succesful life and a respectable job.
