I'm planning to start a blog about Syrian and middle-eastern cuisine.. In my blog I'll share recipes, tips, and of course pictures of Syrian food. I'm thinking of naming my blog "Food en Friends" :)

 

My dream is to continue my education here in the Netherlands, and to go to university.  I never got the chance to finish college as I got caught up with caring for my family.  Now that my kids are older, I'm hoping I can accomplish what once was my dream. 

 

I would also like to be a professional food photographer.. maybe one day shoot food pictures for the Albert Heijn magazine !!!  who knows .. dreams might come true.

 

I miss my home sooo much...  My husband and I decorated it from scratch.. piece by piece, and tile by tile.  One day, things got so bad, we just packed and left.. just like that.. and left everything behind.. my photo albums, my valuables, souvenirs of places we've been, family heirlooms from my grandparents.. basically everything.. our home.

 

It breaks my heart knowing that things will never be the same.. the uncertainty of what the future holds for my country is like a thorn in my

heart that keeps pricking me every minute of every day.. 

 

All I can do is dream about and pray for the day when I will see my homeland once again safe, prosperous, and dignified.
